Do you love to sing? Do you sing in the shower, the car or anywhere else when the mood takes you? Do you love music? Would you like to get out there and sing with a group of people who feel just like you? Make friends and get involved in something truly worthwhile?
We’re on the look out for enthusiastic adults to join our little movement! The Equal People Choir brings people together who want to sing and get involved in a charity but can’t seem to find enough time.
We want to hear from both experienced and non-experienced singers, as our professional vocal coaches will be on hand to show you the ropes!
What is ‘The Equal People Choir’?
The choir has been set up to bring people together who want to sing, whilst helping to raise some much needed funding for Equal People Performing Arts (EPPA): a charity that exists to provide access to the arts for people of all abilities, needs and backgrounds. The Charity facilitates a number of initiatives but there is so much more EPPA can be doing to help support people with additional needs and their families, which is where the choir can help.
How can you get involved?
The choir will be rehearses weekly, on Wednesday’s at 8pm-10pm and is open to anyone aged 16+.
Each week our coaches work with the group on popular songs from the charts, musical theatre, gospel and some crowd pleasing golden oldies! You’ll learn harmonies, vocal technique and they’ll also be solo opportunities for some of the more experienced vocalists. All this with the objective of working towards our first charity fundraiser just before Easter (click here to read more about the work the charity does). Performing at this is not mandatory, if you just want to come along and sing each week and help in other ways, that’s fine too.
Sessions take place at Equal People Performing Arts, in Rayleigh. Complete your details below to book yourself in for a free taster session
