Gavin Bell

Gavin Bell

Gavin has worked as an actor and voiceover artist for the last 15 years where his role in BBC drama Doctors saw him nominated for a British Soap Award as 'Villain of the Year' (Don't worry; it wasn't typecasting - he's just a great actor!)  As an Acting coach, Gavin shares professional experience to support the development of audition and performance technique for stage and screen in both 1:1 sessions and running workshops. Gavin works as a practitioner for the Mercury Theatre in Colchester providing drama and music masterclasses as well as being commissioned by Schools in the area to teach performance based workshops. He is also our lead facilitator for Arts Award projects; a nationally recognised qualification, accredited by Trinity College, London.

Gavin's love of theatre and acting began in School, where he found he enjoyed the whole process of exploring text through rehearsals and creating something new out of it, then seeing it through to performance. Gavin trained back in the North East at Newcastle University and it was here he got into making short films and started to focus on screen acting, before leaving for roles in London, where he ended up staying.

Gavin has been involved in Musicals, Theatre in Education and is also an accomplished Singer/Songwriter, having been in a number of successful bands and as a published solo artist.

Gavin is available for 1:1 acting coaching and will come to you - he can travel across Southend, Castle Point and Rochford Boroughs. To find out more please enter your details below.
